Back in 2013 I investigated the strange  mortgage arrangements of Stratford-on-Avon MP, Mr Nadhim Zahawi and the strange company, Berkford Investments Ltd, that provided the loan on his £800K+ home in Tysoe.

We did get a story published about the existence of the loan but it was not possible to get to the bottom of the £3.2m house in Putney, converted into 3 flats, which was owned by Berkford Investments Ltd. With Mr Zahawi getting in the libel firm it was too hard to get the rest of the story any coverage.

Now due to the great work of Dan Neidle we know about the accounts of Berkford Investments Ltd and BALSHORE INVESTMENTS LIMITED which “owned” Mr Zahawi’s share of youGov “shares. The coverage in the press about Mr Zahawi doing a deal with HMRC seems to relate to the YouGov bits of the money trail.
